Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write reliable, secure, and scalable code for real-time card authorization and fraud-prevention systems.
- Build customer-facing features including rules improvements, velocity controls, 3D Secure flows, fraud tooling, and transaction monitoring.
- Own projects end-to-end from planning through launch.
- Improve system reliability and participate in the team on-call rotation.
- Lead improvements to team systems and processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building production backend systems.
- Experience with or willingness to learn Rust and ability to understand systems written in Python and Java.
- Interest and experience using AI tools to enhance productivity.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, align diverse perspectives, and drive practical solutions.
- Experience or interest in payments, fintech, or fraud prevention.
- Ability to design systems from scratch and own product development end-to-end.
- Strong written communication skills and experience working in a remote, async-first team across time zones.
- Full-stack experience is preferred.
