Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze CPU, storage, memory, networking, and GPU architectures to identify platform bottlenecks and improve software performance and resource consumption.
- Develop benchmarks in C++, Rust, Python, and Hack to capture fleet requirements and evaluate emerging platforms.
- Conduct fleet-wide workload analysis and identify hardware/software co-design opportunities based on industry trends.
- Quantify technology value propositions, define roadmaps, and influence vendor hardware roadmaps.
- Partner with Product Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering to deliver hardware roadmaps into production and drive adoption.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external industry partners, and contribute to conferences, journals, and open source projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with programming and scripting languages such as C, C++, Rust, Java, PHP, and Python.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and full-stack analysis of server applications.
- At least 5 years of experience with hardware architecture, compute technologies, and/or storage systems.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems such as Spark, distributed caching, data preprocessing, or AI training.
- Preferred experience with responsible AI practices, AI skill development, prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration, and AI workflow optimization.
- Preferred experience working cross-functionally with software, hardware, supply chain, testing, and infrastructure teams.
- Preferred master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred 3 years of technical leadership experience, including leading projects, driving technical direction, and mentoring.
- Preferred deep architectural knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, accelerators, networking, memory, Flash/HDD storage systems, and DPUs, with hands-on server architecture and optimization experience.
