Base Salary

$125k - $145k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, and maintain embedded software for elevator control systems using C and C++.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software and electronic hardware systems.
  • Collaborate with field service, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical engineering teams on product development.
  • Perform functional testing of software updates and enhancements.
  • Document software functionality and system behavior.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Support coding standards, best practices, and design processes.
  • Participate in occasional on-site testing and troubleshooting, with travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in real-time embedded software engineering.
  • Strong experience with C and C++ programming and embedded firmware troubleshooting.
  • Experience with embedded real-time operating systems.
  • Familiarity with revision control systems such as Git.
  • Experience leading small projects and mentoring team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred qualifications include elevator industry experience, elevator control systems knowledge, low-level device driver experience, and scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Make/Cygwin.
  • Experience with C#, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is preferred.
