Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, debug, customize, and optimize embedded software and AI/ML solutions on Qualcomm reference designs.
- Provide direct technical support to customers and partners, including debugging software issues and customizing software for product requirements.
- Optimize neural networks and AI workloads for embedded systems, including latency, throughput, and power consumption.
- Analyze platform hardware and software driver architectures and perform system-level debugging and issue triage.
- Collaborate with external customers and cross-functional teams to manage timelines and drive product execution through commercialization.
Requirements
- Strong experience in embedded software development, integration, and debugging, including 8+ years working with embedded platforms.
- At least 4 years of AI/ML-related software experience and 4 years working with Linux or Android.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and modern scripting languages such as Python; the formal qualifications also request 3+ years with programming languages and debugging techniques.
- Hands-on experience with OpenCV, OpenCL, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Caffe, or Caffe2, plus supervised and unsupervised machine learning involving computer vision, NLP, and LLM-based systems.
- Experience with ML/MLOps pipelines, neural-network optimization, inference optimization, edge deployment, and ML/DL fundamentals such as CNNs, object detection, and segmentation.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with the corresponding required software engineering experience; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Preferred qualifications include ML applications in drones, robotics, smart audio, or video collaboration; MLPerf; dedicated ML accelerators; JTAG, ftrace, or GDB; GenAI model tuning; and reinforcement learning.
