Base Salary

$130k - $130k/yr

Responsibilities

Support the strategic role of data within the growing Data Engineering division.
Design and expand the data platform across various data sources.
Collaborate with Trading, Quant, Technology, and Business Operations teams to define and deliver impactful projects.
Build and deploy batch and streaming pipelines for Big Data within a hybrid cloud architecture.
Mentor junior engineers in software and data engineering best practices.
Produce clean, well-tested, and documented code for mission-critical applications.
Build automated data validation test suites to ensure compliance with SLAs.
Challenge existing processes to enhance the tech stack.

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in software application development.
Proficiency in Java/Scala; Python experience is a plus.
Hands-on experience with data platforms and technologies like Delta Lake, Spark, and Kubernetes.
Experience in building large-scale batch and streaming pipelines with strict SLA requirements.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with diverse data sets across multiple domains; financial data experience is a plus.
Recent hands-on experience with AWS Cloud development and monitoring.
Experience working on an Agile team with software engineering best practices.
