Responsibilities
- Lead project teams through the design and development of complex cloud products and platforms.
- Perform solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration for scalable and robust cloud subsystems.
- Review designs and test plans and develop code according to cloud design and development standards.
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and mitigate risks.
- Represent the engineering team in technical forums and mentor less-experienced team members.
- Drive innovation and integrate new technologies into software systems projects.
- Analyze complex application, system administration, network, and data-processing problems and implement solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Typically 7–10 years of professional experience.
- Strong Java, C++, or Golang programming skills.
- Expertise in file systems, networking, or distributed storage and compute systems.
- Knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Kubernetes environments.
- Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, and multithreaded programming.
- In-depth knowledge of operating-system internals and storage concepts.
- Understanding of microservice architectures and containerized, Kubernetes-managed environments.
- Experience designing and integrating software systems across multiple platform types.
- Experience writing and executing test plans and using debugging, testing scripts, and testing tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals to senior management.
