Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance full-stack applications using the MEAN stack.
- Provide technical guidance on coding standards, architecture, design patterns, unit testing, and development best practices.
- Collaborate on software architecture and lead complex refactoring, modernization, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions and support their implementation.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Support MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server database development and modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with data and business teams on reporting, analytics, and data integration solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Evaluate technologies that improve scalability, maintainability, and performance while supporting security, company policies, and HIPAA/PHI compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6–10 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express.js.
- In-depth MongoDB knowledge and experience or understanding of transitioning from MongoDB to Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server expertise, including schema design, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI data modeling, semantic models, dashboards, reporting, or data visualization.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, unit testing, and code optimization.
- Experience delivering complex software projects and mentoring engineers.
- Familiarity with Agile development, Scrum, and Jira.
- Preferred: experience with Microsoft Fabric components such as Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, and data pipelines; Power BI integration; Docker; AWS or Microsoft Azure; software modernization; legacy refactoring; and database migration projects.
