Responsibilities
- Ship full-stack product features from discovery and scoping through implementation and release.
- Develop across a TypeScript/Node.js serverless backend using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS, plus React Native frontends.
- Make pragmatic decisions in ambiguous situations and unblock yourself and teammates.
- Add logging, metrics, alerts, and tests to maintain stable releases.
- Improve existing product surfaces through refactoring and technical-debt reduction.
- Collaborate with product and design on customer-visible outcomes.
Requirements
- Real startup experience shipping products in lean environments.
- Personally shipped projects such as side projects, open-source work, or indie applications, with a portfolio or GitHub profile.
- Fluency in TypeScript and comfort with Node.js, React, React Native, and REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda and SQS, or equivalent event-driven systems.
- Practical testing experience with Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox, integrated into CI.
- Ability to refine rough ideas into scoped, high-leverage product releases.
- Clear communication, ownership, and composure when navigating engineering tradeoffs.
- Preferred experience with mobile release pipelines, over-the-air updates, app store processes, observability, analytics, experimentation, open-source contributions, or public project write-ups.
