Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and debug embedded C software for Linux-based residential gateway platforms running on ARM/MIPS SoCs.
- Develop and maintain OpenSync managers and OVSDB-driven cloud configuration and state-reporting daemons.
- Implement LTE/5G cellular failover and fallback logic, modem management, route arbitration, WAN health checks, and multi-WAN state machines.
- Develop LED status logic, modem health monitoring, subsystem recovery, and Internet reachability frameworks.
- Integrate cellular modems using AT commands, QMI/MBIM, USB, PCIe/MHI, and network interfaces such as rmnet and wwan.
- Configure and optimize WiFi radios and drivers across Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Atheros/QCA platforms.
- Debug kernel, PCIe, USB, networking-driver, crash, and kernel-panic issues using logs, crash dumps, and remote diagnostics.
- Maintain OpenWrt init scripts, UCI handlers, persistent storage, factory reset, and firmware upgrade flows.
- Implement secure cloud connectivity using TLS/mTLS, X.509 certificates, GRE tunnels, IPsec, and VPN overlays.
- Write unit tests, participate in GitLab merge-request reviews, and collaborate with hardware, QA, cloud, and service-provider teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of embedded C development experience on Linux-based platforms.
- Strong C programming skills, including pointers, memory management, IPC, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with OpenWrt build systems, package management, UCI, and JFFS2/SquashFS overlay filesystems.
- Familiarity with OpenSync or similar cloud-managed CPE frameworks, including OVSDB, protobuf, and MQTT telemetry.
- Experience integrating cellular modems using AT commands, QMI, and network interface management.
- Strong understanding of Linux networking, routing, netfilter, bridge interfaces, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, SLAAC, neighbor discovery, and prefix delegation.
- Understanding of mutual TLS, X.509 certificate validation, secure provisioning, GRE, IPsec, VPN overlays, and secure encapsulation.
- Experience with libev, libuv, or similar event-loop frameworks.
- Proficiency with GDB, strace, tcpdump, kernel logs, and serial consoles.
- Familiarity with Git, GitLab CI/CD, and cross-compilation toolchains.
- Understanding of 802.11ax/be standards and wireless driver configuration.
- Preferred experience includes Qualcomm IPQ, Broadcom BCM, and Atheros/QCA chipsets; DOCSIS; PCIe and USB subsystems; eSIM/eUICC; carrier aggregation and 5G; TR-069/TR-369/TR-181; Kconfig; flash storage; thermal and power management; hardware bring-up; and BSP development.
- Nice-to-have experience includes ISP/MSO/OEM partnerships, SCTE/DOCSIS standards, and Agile/Scrum firmware development.
