Base Salary

$123k - $167k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with data architects and stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain complex ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Implement security protocols, including authentication and authorization.
  • Create optimized transformations to clean, enrich, and model data using cloud-native tools.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance while maintaining metadata and lineage.
  • Refactor and modernize existing on-prem systems into distributed, cloud-based services.
  • Contribute to the design of authentication and identity management frameworks.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical improvements.
  • Drive best practices in microservice design, testing, and CI/CD automation.
  • Collaborate with partner company engineers and stakeholders for optimal solutions.
  • Integrate software products with existing defense systems for seamless interoperability.
  • Own architecture decisions and ensure technical quality across the engineering team.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including design specifications and user manuals.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to inform product enhancements.
  • Provide technical mentorship and elevate engineering standards across the team.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers and stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience for mid-level or 5+ years for senior-level software engineering.
  • Expert proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, TypeScript, Python).
  • Strong understanding of system design, API development, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Deep knowledge of database design, schema design, and query optimization.
  • Experience leading teams in decomposing complex monolithic applications into microservices.
  • Familiarity with Core Kubernetes Concepts including Controllers and Operators.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and managing time efficiently.
