Base Salary
$140k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build autonomous infrastructure AI agents on the Quartermaster platform for SRE, DevOps, and DBA workflows.
- Design agent loops supporting planning, reasoning, tool use, error recovery, safety, auditability, predictability, and human-in-the-loop escalation.
- Integrate agents with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, GCP, Aliyun, monitoring and observability platforms, databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build evaluation frameworks and metrics for task completion, accuracy, time to resolution, and escalation rates.
- Partner with SRE, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to identify and automate high-value operational workflows.
- Contribute to Airwallex’s technical vision for AI-driven infrastructure operations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience designing and building agentic AI systems that use LLMs to plan, reason, and execute multi-step tasks.
- Experience with agent loop design, tool-use orchestration, and agent state and memory management.
- Practical knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Aliyun; Kubernetes; Terraform; and CI/CD systems.
- Strong system design skills for reliable, safe, and scalable systems interacting with production infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in a global environment.
- Preferred: experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, custom agent frameworks, and LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
- Preferred: experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or the ELK stack.
- Preferred: database administration or automation experience, including schema migrations, query optimization, and backup/recovery.
- Preferred: understanding of SRE practices including incident response, runbooks, postmortems, SLOs, and SLIs.
- Preferred: informed perspectives on agent reliability, safety, evaluation, and autonomy.
