Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, scalable application components, microservices, and backend workflows.
- Integrate LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic into applications.
- Build and improve AI workflows, automation pipelines, and lightweight AI agents.
- Work with databases, caching layers, and third-party APIs to support backend services.
- Debug production issues and improve backend performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Use Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and similar AI-assisted coding tools to improve development efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering practices.
- Continuously learn and experiment with emerging AI and backend technologies.
Requirements
- Require 1–3 years of software development experience.
- Require proficiency in Python or Java.
- Require strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Require understanding of REST APIs, backend development fundamentals, microservices architecture, and distributed systems concepts.
- Require familiarity with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Require basic understanding of LLMs and AI APIs, plus a high-level understanding of AI agents, workflows, and automation.
- Require exposure to AI coding tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
- Prefer understanding of asynchronous processing, queues, and event-driven systems.
- Prefer contributions to GitHub projects, side projects, internships, or open-source initiatives.
- Prefer regular use of AI coding tools, participation in coding contests, strong data structures and algorithms fundamentals, and familiarity with cloud platforms, deployment workflows, or containerized applications.
