Responsibilities
- Develop AI driver model architectures and training algorithms for L2, L3, and L4 driving behaviors.
- Own parts of the training model lifecycle, including evaluation strategy, success metrics, and iteration planning.
- Mine, bucket, and curate real-world and synthetic data and implement data schemes for training.
- Run and analyze on-road and offline experiments, translate results into next steps, and improve models through repeated training cycles.
- Deploy trained models into vehicles and support high-priority commercial deliveries.
Requirements
- Proven experience training deep-learning models with end-to-end ownership of data, training, evaluation, and iteration.
- Experience taking machine-learning models into production while addressing real-world constraints and quality and safety requirements.
- Reinforcement-learning experience, especially where it materially improved real-world performance, is desirable.
- Experience with end-to-end driving models or transformer networks is desirable.
- Automotive or OEM experience, or experience deploying machine learning into physical systems, is desirable.
- Experience with PyTorch Lightning training infrastructure is desirable.
- Experience with model compression and deployment to embedded systems is desirable.
Benefits
- Full-time role with a hybrid working policy combining office and workshop time with work from home.
- Work location options include Sunnyvale, London, or Israel.
- Inclusive interview accommodations and adjustments are available upon request.

About Wayve
Wayve builds end-to-end autonomous driving software—the vehicle-agnostic Wayve AI Driver—that runs on onboard compute and native sensors, licensed to automakers and fleet operators. Its platform spans ADAS and higher autonomy (L2+/L3 to robotaxi) and is designed to generalize across vehicle types and geographies. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in London, it tests its models across Europe, North America, and Japan, with a U.S. base in Sunnyvale, CA.
