Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support a petabyte-scale cloud database.
Build high-quality and reliable software for large enterprises.
Analyze and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks.
Implement solutions for identified problems in the system.
Design and implement query optimization and distributed data processing algorithms.
Develop new service architecture for the Snowflake Data Cloud.
Create tools to improve customer insights into workloads.

2+ years of industry experience in commercial or open-source software.
Fluency in C++ programming language.
Familiarity with Linux development environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and solid CS fundamentals.
Experience in systems programming, including multi-threading and concurrency.
Knowledge of implementation testing, debugging, and documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
Ability to work on-site in the Berlin office.
