Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2/3 support for .NET Framework and Visual Basic applications, troubleshooting crashes, defects, performance issues, assembly dependencies, DLL dependencies, and configuration mismatches.
- Analyze application logs, Windows Event Viewer data, and application traces to identify root causes.
- Follow Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes using ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy.
- Support and enhance SSRS reports, subscriptions, scheduled deliveries, and business reporting requests.
- Debug and optimize SSIS packages and resolve ETL failures, data accuracy issues, and performance problems.
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, data validation, reconciliation, and consistency checks.
- Support iFrame-based integrations and troubleshoot rendering, authentication, and session issues in embedded applications.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application code, databases, reports, and data refresh cycles.
- Deploy and support applications hosted on IIS and Windows Server, including Windows Services, batch jobs, and scheduled tasks.
- Support CI/CD build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, MSBuild, and release pipelines, while maintaining source control with Git or TFS.
- Ensure applications and reports meet security and compliance standards and address vulnerabilities and audit findings.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles while collaborating across teams in Agile environments.
Requirements
- Experience supporting or developing enterprise applications built on the .NET Framework and Visual Basic (VB.NET).
- Knowledge of ASP.NET Web Forms, Windows Forms, WPF, HTML, and JavaScript troubleshooting.
- Experience with iFrame-based application integration and embedded web applications.
- Experience supporting SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, SQL Server, stored procedures, views, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting application performance, logs, Windows services, scheduled tasks, and Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio Debugger, SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, Splunk, ELK Stack, Windows Event Viewer, and Application Insights.
- Experience with IIS, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, MSBuild, NuGet, Git, TFS, and deployment pipelines.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, role-based access control, SSL/TLS, secure coding practices, and enterprise compliance requirements.
- Experience working with ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management processes and Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.
