Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining automation for securitization and credit risk transfer workflows, including data exception management, disclosure preparation, and pooling support.
- Help model, curate, and engineer trusted data products and pipelines using Python and Snowflake.
- Use AI-enabled developer tools and assistants to automate repetitive coding tasks and improve software quality.
- Support deterministic rules engines and controlled workflows requiring precision, repeatability, and strong testing.
- Collaborate with Capital Markets business partners and software engineers to translate financial needs into software requirements.
- Apply version control, testing, documentation, and operational controls to business-owned software and data tooling.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, applied mathematics, information technology, or a related technical or quantitative discipline.
- Expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and database design.
- Strong Python skills and familiarity with SQL.
- Exposure to or interest in AI tools, digital collaboration platforms, or scripting for workflow automation.
- Familiarity with Snowflake or AWS is preferred.
- Experience with hackathons, personal coding projects, open-source initiatives, or technical class projects is highly valued.
- Ability to learn financial concepts, work through ambiguity, collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders, solve analytical problems, and produce accurate auditable code and data pipelines.
