Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions that support customer experiences and regulatory needs.
- Provide technical leadership across teams, including engineering standards, design patterns, development practices, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and performance improvement.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding with multiple listed programming languages, 3+ years with databases and cloud technologies, and 4+ years contributing to open-source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, using observability to optimize distributed-system performance, leveraging AI coding tools and interactive AI tooling, mentoring engineers, and leading large-scale technical initiatives.
- Preferred experience includes establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
