Responsibilities
- Develop methods for analyzing large-scale single-cell VDJ sequencing data for antibody development.
- Design computational pipelines for high-throughput single-cell VDJ processing and integrate paired, unpaired, and other immunoglobulin data sources.
- Conduct research on affinity maturation and antibody developability.
- Build and provision data infrastructure for antibody development and VDJ clonotype annotation.
- Annotate immunoglobulin germline variation across different genomes.
- Advise on recombinant antibody production and immunochemical analysis.
- Partner with internal scientists and external academic research groups to turn research ideas into working prototypes.
- Lead and contribute to open-source projects, benchmarks, research publications, and production computational tools.
- Present research at top-tier venues and deploy algorithmic implementations into production systems.
Requirements
- PhD plus 2 years of experience, or a master's degree plus 5-8 years of experience, in computational immunology or computational biology.
- Expertise in analyzing and processing single-cell VDJ sequencing data from multiple technology providers or custom solutions.
- Preferred background in large-scale data integration and multimodal omics for biological systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, Spark, and Databricks.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, experimental design, and hypothesis testing.
- Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and Git.
- Prior open-source contributions or research publications.
- Domain knowledge in immunology for antibody production is highly valued.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, organizational, and project management skills.
