Responsibilities
- Develop scalable Python-based solutions aligned with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define and refine project requirements.
- Implement platform architecture, security standards, and Software Development Life Cycle processes.
- Ensure code quality, security, and performance through unit, integration, and automated testing.
- Own projects from conception through delivery and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Monitor infrastructure and application alerts and perform application health checks.
- Provide production support for minor fixes, data issues, configuration issues, and basic troubleshooting.
- Use knowledge-base SOPs to resolve incidents and create new SOPs for newly identified issues.
- Communicate critical issues through the appropriate Microsoft Teams channels.
- Provide weekend on-call support for critical incidents, outages, and severe performance degradation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- 3–5 years of experience.
- Strong Python development skills and experience with a major framework such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Proven experience with AWS and core services including EC2, Lambda, SQS, RDS, S3, and CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing and relational databases or SQL.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support skills, including monitoring and incident response.
- Preferred experience with Azure or GCP and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, modern DevOps practices, enterprise production support, critical incident management, SOP or runbook creation, performance optimization, message queues or streaming, and ITIL-based processes.
