Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain workflows for automating software builds and releases.
- Write and enhance CI/CD workflows, packaging, and installation scripts.
- Adapt changes to build scripts from Firefox engineering teams.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex build and dependency issues.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and support ad hoc projects.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of Thunderbird releases.
- Engage with the open-source community for feedback and collaboration.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in build and release engineering.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Rust, Kotlin, and Java.
- Strong understanding of Python and shell scripting for automation.
- Experience with building and releasing native desktop or mobile applications.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ownership of tasks and ability to manage multiple requests.
- Excellent English communication skills for engaging with a distributed team.
- Commitment to open-source development and ability to complete projects independently.
