Base Salary
$176k - $282k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements.
- Review and test software components for design adherence and document test results.
- Apply software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the environment.
- Provide software input to system design, including evaluating COTS and GOTS solutions in place of new development.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, consulting users and system engineers, and investigating problem areas.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and comparable platforms.
- Support software development, network automation, cloud operations, and IT management activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an appropriate field plus 8 years of software engineering experience; or a master’s degree plus 6 years; or a PhD plus 3 years; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED plus 12 years of software engineering experience.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
- Strong Linux and Python background.
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using OpenStack or comparable platforms.
- Understanding of IT management and operations.
- Experience with software development, systems engineering disciplines, network automation tools, and cloud security and operations is desired.
- PowerShell familiarity is desired.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, and communication skills are desired.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
