Responsibilities
- Plan, design, engineer, and implement security-related technologies.
- Build, administer, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise security platforms and security infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Conduct security audits and assessments to evaluate security-platform effectiveness and identify improvements.
- Harden, audit, monitor, and log hosts and operating systems using appropriate security controls and best practices.
- Research emerging security technologies and determine their appropriate use within the company.
- Document operating procedures and protocols and mentor or cross-train team members.
- Communicate technical security issues, risks, and security goals effectively to management and business leaders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building, designing, and maintaining enterprise security tools.
- At least 5 years of hands-on security engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of implementing advanced cybersecurity technology in complex environments.
- Experience administering SIEM/SOAR, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management, anomaly detection, and cloud-analysis platforms.
- Hands-on experience with networking and computing-system architectures, including their security aspects.
- At least 5 years of applying DevSecOps and secure-architecture design principles.
- At least 5 years of Linux systems administration and scripting experience using Python or equivalent languages.
- Thorough understanding of information-security principles, techniques, policy frameworks, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with public-cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with automation technologies such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Security and cloud certifications such as CISSP, Splunk Admin, or AWS Solutions Architect are preferred.
- Experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks and AI engineering or AI security is preferred.
