Base Salary
$140k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement security and monitoring technology solutions for mission-critical federal operations.
- Develop, maintain, and operate U.S. Department of State Special Countermeasures Systems.
- Develop, implement, and integrate Department of State IDS and ACS solutions.
- Lead and manage large, complex technology development and implementation projects.
- Design circuitry, PCB layouts, microcontroller systems, embedded systems, and custom hardware for security and monitoring applications.
- Develop and integrate low-level firmware and secure microcontrollers for custom hardware.
- Implement tamper-resistant and cryptographic hardware to protect against physical and side-channel attacks.
- Design and integrate security sensors, control systems, and interface devices for real-time threat detection and monitoring.
- Apply secure coding practices, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, DevSecOps automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain a Top Secret/TS-SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or 5+ years of additional related experience.
- At least 15 years of experience in software development, cybersecurity engineering, and system integration.
- Experience with U.S. Department of State Special Countermeasures Systems, IDS solutions, and ACS solutions.
- Strong programming expertise in Python, C/C++, C#, SQL, and VB.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and SQL Server.
- Experience with circuitry design, PCB layout, microcontroller systems, electronics, embedded systems, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience developing and integrating custom hardware, secure microcontrollers, tamper-resistant hardware, cryptographic hardware, and low-level firmware.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in secure coding, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Industry-recognized certification such as CSSLP, CISSP, and/or PMP.
- Strong technical leadership, communication, collaboration, and federal stakeholder engagement skills.
