Base Salary
$200k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own engineering work for hospital integrations from technical discovery through reliable production data.
- Build and debug connections to record systems, including authentication, APIs, data mapping, and monitoring.
- Investigate problems and test solutions directly with hospital IT and clinical teams.
- Build customer tools and analytics when the standard product does not meet a hospital’s needs.
- Turn recurring requests into reusable connectors, validation tools, and product features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production software.
- Strong backend, API, data modeling, and SQL skills.
- Experience taking a complex third-party integration live with the technical team on the other side.
- Evidence of building software around a customer’s workflow and improving it after customer use.
- Ability to investigate ambiguous problems, explain tradeoffs, and decide what to build independently.
- Enjoyment of regular customer-facing work.
- Experience founding a company or serving as an early engineer with ownership of messy problems is a plus.
- Experience with EHRs, HL7, or FHIR is a plus.
