Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Decompose, allocate, implement, and verify cybersecurity requirements using systems engineering practices.
- Define cybersecurity requirements and develop security design and architecture artifacts.
- Participate in system design discussions and provide cybersecurity engineering input.
- Collaborate with systems engineers and developers to integrate cybersecurity into embedded system designs.
- Write cybersecurity verification and validation test plans and procedures, conduct testing, and recommend remediation.
- Prepare and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, and Plans of Actions and Milestones.
- Collaborate with program and engineering disciplines to evaluate cybersecurity solution alternatives.
- Maintain awareness of evolving security threats, security technologies, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Requires a STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience.
- Requires an active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance before the start date and U.S. citizenship.
- Experience defining, allocating, and decomposing system requirements, preferably for embedded systems.
- Experience generating Verification Items and selecting formal verification methods such as inspection, analysis, demonstration, or test.
- Experience with requirements management tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering tools.
- Preferred experience includes cybersecurity, Risk Management Framework, embedded cryptography, NSA cryptographic certification, and Program Protection Plans.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are preferred.
- Familiarity with Program Protection Implementation Plans required by DoDI 5000.2 and DoDI 5200.39 is preferred.
- Must be willing to learn about satellite systems, communication systems, and evolving security technologies.
