Responsibilities
- Architect and build intuitive mobile and connected-TV applications for iOS and tvOS.
- Contribute to mobile and CTV technology strategy, architecture, development practices, and technology selection.
- Develop and maintain software tools, production systems, backend API integrations, and core production pipelines.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and debug applications.
- Implement deployment automation, code signing, CI/CD practices, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Delivery, Editorial, and Engineering teams on CNN digital experiences.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Ensure solutions follow architecture, security, governance, coding, monitoring, logging, testing, and service-enablement standards.
Requirements
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a professional software development environment.
- Advanced understanding of troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, application design, solution development, usability, and enterprise project implementation.
- Strong programming fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
- Full-stack development experience with native mobile and CTV clients, SDKs, APIs, Swift or Objective-C, SwiftUI, and iOS/tvOS platforms.
- Expertise architecting performant, scalable, and secure mobile and CTV applications.
- Hands-on experience with mobile/CTV DevOps CI/CD tools, deployment automation, code signing, and automated tests.
- Ability to develop new applications, maintain existing code, communicate with technical and non-technical teams, and design flexible architectures.
- Preferred familiarity with Git and Bitrise.
- Preferred knowledge of AWS, SQL/RDBMS, NoSQL, GraphDB, VOD, and video playback on iOS/tvOS applications.
