Base Salary
$210k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scope, write, and test features for Meter’s switch operating system.
- Design and build performant firmware and switch OS functionality for top-of-rack and spine switches.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, infrastructure, and senior engineering teams.
- Work with beta customers to test features and gather product feedback.
- Research data center hardware and networking and distribute relevant knowledge across engineering teams.
- Identify potential issues and provide clear solutions to dependent engineering teams.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and L2/L3 networking.
- Proficiency in C or C++.
- Golang or a similar backend language is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously, dependably, and collaboratively in an early, broadly influential role.
- Track record of identifying issues proactively and developing clear solutions.
