Responsibilities
- Design and build internal AI-powered tools that automate engineering, manufacturing, and operational workflows.
- Integrate AI tools with engineering software, databases, documentation, APIs, and operational systems.
- Build applications, dashboards, reporting tools, and data pipelines for operational analysis and decision support.
- Analyze field injection, equipment, shop, and field-operations data to identify inefficiencies and establish performance benchmarks.
- Develop and deploy machine learning, statistical, predictive, optimization, and LLM-based solutions for engineering applications.
- Take projects from problem identification through prototyping, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
- Work with engineers, technicians, operators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical software and AI solutions.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building software tools, automation scripts, and data-processing pipelines.
- Experience with LLM APIs, AI agents, machine learning frameworks, or applied AI systems.
- Ability to build end-to-end applications spanning data ingestion, backend logic, and simple user interfaces.
- Strong data analysis skills, including SQL, Pandas, and statistical modeling.
- Experience integrating APIs, databases, and third-party software platforms.
- Ability to work with messy, incomplete, or unstructured real-world data and independently solve loosely defined problems.
- Interest in physical engineering systems, manufacturing, robotics, or industrial operations.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Preferred experience with industrial automation, PLCs, sensors, equipment telemetry, fluid systems, hydraulics, manufacturing processes, time-series data, predictive modeling, optimization algorithms, computer vision, CAD software, engineering simulations, engineering data pipelines, modern web frameworks, or cloud services.
