Base Salary
$76k - $99k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scripts and automations for security-oriented and IT platforms.
- Assist senior engineers with integrations between security tools and platforms.
- Create dashboards, reports, and technical documentation tracking security operations deliverables, trends, and security posture progress.
- Support incident response and other security operations tasks through automation.
- Learn and apply DevOps and agile practices within the security engineering team.
- Collaborate across global teams and time zones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Five years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to write and debug Python code; academic projects, internships, and personal projects count toward this qualification.
- Familiarity with version control such as Git.
- General cybersecurity knowledge from coursework, labs, or certifications is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Internship, co-op, or project experience in security, IT, or software development is nice to have.
- Exposure to SIEM/SOAR platforms such as Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM or ITSM tools such as ServiceNow is nice to have.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, or vulnerability management is nice to have.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and practices is nice to have.
- Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or other relevant security or cloud certifications.
