Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact recommendation and machine learning projects.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
- Lead the design and implementation of recommendation systems.
- Optimize ML infrastructure and guide model architecture development.
- Analyze data and logs to draw conclusions and improve the product with machine learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience building and deploying production recommendation-system models for retrieval, prediction, ranking, or embeddings.
- Experience building architecture across different modeling domains.
- 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.
- 3 years of experience in applied machine learning.
- Experience with publications in machine learning or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in technical leadership, leading project teams, and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in complex, matrixed organizations involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
