Responsibilities

  • Test software in a cooperative team environment using version control, branching, merging, issue tracking, and related processes.
  • Verify that software deliverables meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, test reports, and issue tickets.
  • Perform formal, customer-witnessed acceptance tests.
  • Develop and execute manual and automated front-end/UI and back-end tests across Windows, Linux, and other platforms.
  • Communicate daily with program leadership and development teams.
  • Mentor junior-level test personnel on test setup and execution.

Requirements

  • At least five years of relevant software testing experience, including systems integration and testing, test planning, development, and execution.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI US security clearance is required.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux, including system configuration and familiarity with server management commands and tools.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, MS-DOS, and PowerShell.
  • Experience leading customer-witnessed CNO program acceptance testing.
  • Experience with version control systems and bug tracking tools such as Git, Mantis, Jira, and GitLab.
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking and packet capture analysis using tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
  • Experience setting up virtual environments with tools such as VMware ESXi, Docker, VirtualBox, and QEMU.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: Experience testing applications written in C, C++, C#, or Python and mobile applications for Android and iOS.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with automated testing approaches, Atlassian tools, test management software, CI/CD pipelines, provisioning or infrastructure tools, and end-user documentation.
  • Preferred: Experience mentoring junior-level test engineers.
