Responsibilities
- Learn Showtime’s workflows and technical interfaces.
- Gather user needs and define an achievable scope with senior engineer guidance.
- Design and implement an intuitive web interface for selected Showtime workflows.
- Integrate the interface with existing Showtime REST endpoints.
- Apply usability principles and practical engineering practices, including source control, code review, testing, and documentation.
- Incorporate user feedback and demonstrate the completed application and recommended next steps.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing education in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrable experience building a web application through coursework, personal projects, or employment.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and a modern web framework or library.
- Basic understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, and front-end/back-end integration.
- Familiarity with Git source control.
- Ability to break open-ended problems into manageable tasks and make progress with guidance.
- Preferred: experience integrating a web interface with an existing API or service, exposure to CI/CD for web applications, and experience applying UX and usability principles.
