Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-performance software in C for Linux-based environments.
- Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable complex systems.
- Work with networking protocols and develop robust communication between distributed systems.
- Lead and mentor software engineers by providing technical guidance and supporting professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop solutions, and deliver projects on time.
- Drive coding, testing, and deployment best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expert proficiency in C programming.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, and network programming concepts.
- Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and Linux programming.
- Proven ability in system architecture and design.
- Experience managing or mentoring engineering teams and strong leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Preferred: experience with distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
- Preferred: familiarity with open-source contributions or community involvement.
- Preferred: knowledge of security best practices in system and network programming.

- Full-time position with a Canada base salary range of $94,000-$115,000 annually.
