Base Salary
$140k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect software for an advanced production-scale metal 3D printing system.
- Design and develop the machine instruction interface to the printing system hardware.
- Develop software for computer vision, sensor monitoring, calibration, quality-data logging, and lifetime system-health tracking.
- Integrate control algorithms into production software with process and control engineers.
- Develop high-speed data acquisition software with FPGA developers.
- Create software for process-data collection and analysis.
- Develop production automation software.
- Develop, unit test, and deploy scalable, robust, maintainable software.
- Generate and maintain documentation for designed software and integrated systems.
Requirements
- At least five years of software development experience using C/C++ and/or Rust.
- Experience designing real-time embedded systems with Linux OS.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and design.
- A bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with FPGAs or GPUs, PCIe driver development, high-speed data acquisition, real-time closed-loop control, industrial automation, robotics, or related hardware is preferred.
- Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and first-principles problem-solving ability are preferred.
