Associate Motorsport Customer Application Engineer
Bosch GlobalResponsibilities
- Collect customer requirements, manage project timelines, and provide technical application support for motorsport electronic products.
- Provide trackside diagnostics and troubleshooting by analyzing live telemetry and logged vehicle data.
- Configure and maintain telemetry servers and wireless radio connections, and develop data-analysis dashboards.
- Install, integrate, and validate vehicle electronic hardware and software, including wiring and vehicle communication systems.
- Set up and execute Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation tests and coordinate software releases with development teams.
- Develop and optimize internal workflow tools and scripts using MATLAB, Python, C#, or similar languages.
- Travel domestically and internationally approximately 50–80 days per year to customer facilities, test tracks, and development locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least 1 year of industry-relevant application engineering experience, including academic or industry experience.
- At least 1 year of industry-relevant data-analysis experience using data-acquisition and analysis tools.
- Professional motorsport, significant FSAE, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with combustion engines, vehicle systems, wiring harnesses, sensors, or mechanical troubleshooting is desired.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical hardware and software implementation issues.
- Familiarity with diagnostic and measurement tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, Wireshark, CANalyzer, and motorsport data-acquisition systems.
- Foundational knowledge of automotive communications such as CAN and Ethernet and wired or wireless networking such as LAN and WAN.
- Basic programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, C#, or similar languages.
- Strong customer communication, technical problem-solving, adaptability, initiative, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Indefinite U.S. work authorization is required; future sponsorship is unavailable.
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check is required before the start date.
