Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain resilient and scalable backend services, APIs, and user-facing features.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to generate, review, and validate production code.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to translate complex problems into practical solutions.
- Improve system reliability and performance through code reviews, architectural improvements, and refactoring.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, bugs, and customer-reported problems.
- Participate in technical discussions and improve team processes and engineering standards.
- Drive projects from concept to completion and make pragmatic technical decisions.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience building, deploying, and maintaining web applications and services in a team environment.
- Proficiency in modern web development, including a backend programming language and relational databases.
- A record of shipping high-quality code and owning features through the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and technical decision-making skills.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Copilot or Claude.
- A customer-focused mindset and passion for solving real-world problems.
- Preferred: restaurant-tech experience and hands-on production experience with Elixir.
