Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop a scalable Python-based test automation framework for embedded devices and complete software and system components.
- Create traceability from requirements to test cases to defects and enable end-to-end automated test coverage.
- Mentor test engineers, establish coding standards, and lead code reviews.
- Develop and optimize functional, regression, performance, and security testing strategies for automotive software.
- Collaborate with firmware, digital signal processing, quality assurance, product, architecture, and other stakeholder teams to define requirements and quality assurance plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8–12 years of experience in software testing for embedded devices, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Expert proficiency in Python, C++, and relevant test automation libraries and frameworks.
- Experience architecting test frameworks and developing test cases with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of testbeds, simulators, hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, embedded device testing, REST APIs, UI testing, Selenium, Playwright, Embedded Linux, SSH, shell scripting, Linux services, and computer networks.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices using Jenkins, Jira, and Bitbucket, as well as system and integration testing.
- Knowledge of automotive testing standards and frameworks such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and ASPICE.
- Understanding of automotive software systems including embedded systems, ADAS, infotainment, or electric vehicle control software.
- Experience with JAMA or an equivalent requirements management system and Jira for defect tracking.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues, manage multiple priorities, and mentor junior engineers.
