Base Salary
$164k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, refactor, and scale consumer product features end to end.
- Build React and TypeScript member-facing interfaces and the Rails services and APIs behind them.
- Build resilient APIs and partner with mobile engineers on contracts for the React Native app.
- Prototype and launch A/B tests and use experiment results to guide product decisions.
- Own page performance, funnel conversion, accessibility, and instrumentation for shipped work.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and scalability and uphold strong technical standards.
- Collaborate with product, design, data science, and marketing to solve member pain points.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience in a production environment at scale.
- Proven experience with a modern frontend framework such as React or a comparable framework and a server-side framework such as Ruby on Rails or a comparable framework.
- Comfort with TypeScript and component-driven UI development.
- Experience with transactional databases, caching, client-side state, and performance.
- Experience running experiments such as A/B tests and feature flags.
- Exposure to architectural patterns used by large-scale web applications.
- Growth or consumer experience is a plus.
