Responsibilities
- Analyze product features and requirements, design test environments, and develop test tools.
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases, including stress, integration, system, and release testing.
- Collaborate with software developers and cross-functional teams to validate features against requirements and quality standards.
- Apply security-minded and adversarial testing to identify defects, vulnerabilities, unexpected behaviors, and failure scenarios.
- Troubleshoot complex software, networking, and system issues and drive them toward resolution.
- Investigate, reproduce, track, and follow up on issues from customer environments and field deployments.
- Develop, maintain, and improve automated test frameworks and test scripts.
- Improve QA processes, test coverage, test efficiency, and overall product quality.
- Work with development, product, and support teams to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Software QA, Software Development, or a related engineering role.
- Familiarity with DNS, TCP/UDP, SSH, RDP, VNC, HTTP, and HTTPS.
- Knowledge of switches, routers, MAC addresses, ARP, ICMP/Ping, Traceroute, and related troubleshooting tools.
- Understanding of firewalls, data encryption, data integrity, authentication, and secure communications.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell and one compiled language such as C/C++, Golang, or Rust.
- Understanding of operating-system concepts including processes, threads, memory management, file systems, and sockets.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with Git or SVN.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes virtualization and VM environments, cloud platforms and infrastructure, QA automation frameworks, network security or penetration-style testing, customer or production deployments, and CI/CD test integration.
