Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate cloud-native platform components and services end-to-end.
- Lead well-scoped projects by translating requirements and rough ideas into technical designs and delivered solutions.
- Build operators, controllers, automation, and platform services used by other teams.
- Improve reliability, scalability, and operability through testing, instrumentation, runbooks, and on-call participation.
- Collaborate with senior, staff, and principal engineers on platform architecture and standards.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design feedback, pairing, and onboarding.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with a bachelor's degree, 5+ years with a master's degree, 3+ years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating workloads on Kubernetes.
- Experience with at least one major hyperscaler, including core compute, networking, and IAM primitives.
- A track record of delivering complex features or services as a key contributor.
- Working knowledge of containers, CI/CD, GitOps-based delivery, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong programming skills in Go or another systems language, with willingness to work primarily in Go.
- Experience leveraging or critically evaluating AI in engineering work.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes controllers or operators, CNI or service mesh, workload identity, mTLS, secrets management, observability, managed Kubernetes, and Terraform.

- Base pay is $149,800-$262,200, plus equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.
