Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C/C++ embedded firmware for Graviton host MCU and related subsystems.
- Participate in board and chip bringup from early silicon validation through production readiness.
- Develop boot loaders, drivers, and RTOS-based firmware for multi-core ARM devices.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate board designs and debug hardware-software interfaces using schematics, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Develop firmware flows and commands for fleet testing, monitoring, and operational events.
- Support platform development from prototype through high-volume AWS fleet production.
- Work with silicon, platform, and fleet health teams to ensure reliability and performance at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- At least 4 years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Experience with embedded development in C/C++ or low-level driver development.
- Strong understanding of hardware, software, and the complete system view.
- Preferred experience with modern multi-core ARM devices and board- and chip-level hardware-software interfaces.
- Preferred experience with I2C, SPI, DRAM, PCIe, driver development, boot loaders, RTOS development, electrical schematics, and hands-on laboratory debugging.
