$293k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build backend and infrastructure systems for OpenAI’s API platform in cloud-native environments.
- Design and ship cloud-contained products for customer use of OpenAI capabilities.
- Develop cloud-hosted Codex experiences powered by the OpenAI Responses API.
- Create infrastructure and runtime abstractions for a stateful, cloud-optimized platform.
- Collaborate with external cloud partners and internal teams to develop production-ready systems.
- Enhance the reliability, scalability, and operational maturity of services.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience in relevant roles.
- Proficient in backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or Typescript.
- Experience building developer tools, especially AI-powered tools.
- Ability to turn ambiguous technical problems into durable systems.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and production service ownership.
- Interest in AI infrastructure and developer platforms.
