Responsibilities

  • Design, code, maintain, and optimize production-grade C/C++ firmware for ARM Cortex-M, ESP32, RISC-V, and other resource-constrained microcontrollers.
  • Implement low-power wireless connectivity and application protocols including Wi-Fi, BLE, Cellular LTE-M/NB-IoT, Thread/Zigbee, MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP/HTTPS.
  • Develop low-level drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, ADC, PWM, DMA, flash memory, and other peripherals, and support hardware board bring-up and debugging.
  • Implement power-management strategies, hardware-root-of-trust features, secure boot, TLS, cryptographic acceleration, key management, and OTA firmware updates.
  • Build multithreaded applications using FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, or embedded Linux, and perform hardware-in-the-loop and automated regression testing.
  • Support factory test fixtures, diagnostic firmware, mass-production testing, and the complete product lifecycle from concept through field deployment.
  • Lead code reviews, enforce standards such as MISRA C, create technical documentation, and mentor junior and mid-level firmware engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing embedded C/C++ firmware for commercial IoT or edge devices.
  • Proven experience with real-time operating systems such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, or similar multitasking platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi, BLE, Cellular IoT, LoRaWAN, and network security standards including mTLS, AES, RSA, and ECC.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, JTAG/SWD debuggers, and power profilers.
  • Advanced proficiency with Git, CMake/Make, GCC, embedded build pipelines, and static analysis tools.
  • Preferred qualifications include Zephyr RTOS, West/CMake, ARM TrustZone, secure elements or TPMs, Python test automation, and experience delivering high-volume consumer electronics or industrial IoT products through mass production.
