Base Salary
$183k - $279k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build backend systems for clinical data, treatment plans, progress notes, patient history, and AI-powered clinical intelligence.
- Scale insurance billing systems that estimate and file claims across major insurance payers.
- Develop patient-focused backend services for care recommendations, health tracking, longitudinal data, and therapist discovery.
- Build ledger systems with idempotency and strict consistency to ensure accurate provider payments.
- Own ambiguous problems from solution definition through shipped software and make maintainability- and scale-oriented technical decisions.
- Improve engineering velocity through tooling, automation, and reusable engineering patterns.
- Mentor engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience turning ambiguous problems into shipped software and owning outcomes.
- Ability to make technical decisions that optimize for maintainability and scale.
- Strong mentoring, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn complex healthcare, payer, regulatory, and billing domains quickly.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in applying LLMs to real workflows, operational automation, code generation, or developer tooling.
- Ability to move quickly, iterate based on user feedback, and make responsible engineering decisions in healthcare.
