Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Java backend and Angular frontend development.
- Break down complex features and coordinate design and implementation across multiple teams.
- Create, review, and maintain architecture documents, technical specifications, code and API documentation, and operational guides.
- Act as a subject matter expert through technical guidance, mentoring, and code reviews.
- Ensure non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and maintainability are met.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues spanning application code, infrastructure, networking, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and platform teams to improve automation, CI/CD, deployment, and operational readiness.
- Drive automation-first approaches for provisioning, deployment, testing, and operational tasks.
- Embed security and compliance requirements into pipelines and environments.
- Influence technical direction, engineering standards, tools, and continuous-improvement practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 15+ years of professional software development experience focused on enterprise systems.
- Deep expertise in Java and modern backend development frameworks.
- Proven experience with Angular and user-facing applications.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, clean architecture, design patterns, and non-functional requirements.
- Experience designing complex technical solutions and coordinating their implementation.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, or similar version control systems.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL and production data considerations.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles, data privacy, and responsible AI use in enterprise systems.
- Exposure to AI-assisted developer tools and interest in using AI to improve engineering productivity.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development practices.
- Experience working in multicultural, geographically distributed teams.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, data science, and product teams to productionize AI capabilities is preferred.
- Experience building Java applications that use AI outputs in core business workflows is preferred.
