Base Salary

$170k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop firmware for microcontroller-based IoT devices.
  • Read datasheets and schematics to develop communication platforms for new and existing sensors.
  • Perform board bring-up, prototype hardware debugging, system failure analysis, and firmware testing.
  • Support manufacturing automation for device configuration and testing.
  • Create and maintain coding standards, revision control, design documentation, and user documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and use AI helpers to improve productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience focused on computing systems and algorithms.
  • Experience with Linux, C++, Rust, multiple serial protocols, and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol decoders.
  • Working knowledge of Python and familiarity with Wi-Fi or cellular-connected IoT devices.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows, major cloud providers for data storage, and startup environments.
