Base Salary

$65k - $85k/yr

Responsibilities

Develop and refactor backend software features and modules using approved programming languages and frameworks.
Contribute to database schema design, API development, backend systems design, and data modeling for the Hyperlift Stars Platform.
Own features through implementation, testing, deployment, production release, rollback planning, and post-release support.
Write unit, integration, and system-level tests and use observability tools and AI-assisted techniques for debugging.
Troubleshoot issues in backend services and microservices using monitoring systems, user reports, and automated alerts.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, Agile delivery, and the full software lifecycle.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Professional experience in backend software development.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages and frameworks, preferably Elixir/Phoenix and/or Python/Flask.
Working knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and experience building and consuming APIs.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containerized applications, data modeling, backend systems design, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
Ability to deliver reliable features under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and technical leadership.
Experience or enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools and workflows, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
