Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of automotive camera systems spanning firmware, middleware, drivers, and application layers.
- Define and own camera software architecture aligned with system and ADAS requirements.
- Collaborate with sensor vendors, hardware, perception, and ADAS teams on camera integration.
- Drive ISP tuning, calibration, and image-quality optimization across lighting and environmental conditions.
- Manage camera-driver development using automotive camera interfaces and integration with automotive SoCs.
- Lead troubleshooting of performance, image quality, latency, and synchronization issues.
- Mentor team members on software development, system integration, and testing practices.
- Coordinate planning, reporting, and delivery tracking with program management and clients.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computers, Electronics, or a related field.
- Strong embedded software development experience with C/C++, Linux, or RTOS.
- Proven experience with automotive camera systems for ADAS, perception, or infotainment.
- Hands-on camera driver development, MIPI CSI-2, GMSL, FPD-Link, I2C, and camera sensor bring-up experience.
- Experience with ISP tuning, camera calibration, and image-quality optimization.
- Knowledge of OpenCV, OpenVX, GStreamer, or ROS2.
- Familiarity with multi-camera synchronization and sensor fusion involving radar or lidar.
- Exposure to AUTOSAR, POSIX APIs, SOME/IP, DDS, and IPC middleware frameworks.
- Understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety and ISO 21434 cybersecurity requirements.
- Leadership experience managing small to mid-sized technical teams.
- Knowledge of ADAS or autonomous-driving perception stacks and AI/ML-based image-processing pipelines is preferred.
- Familiarity with CUDA, OpenCL, TensorRT, and HIL/SIL validation frameworks is preferred.
- Prior experience with Tier-1 or OEM automotive camera projects is preferred.
