Responsibilities
- Architect, build, deploy, and maintain redundant, resilient, scalable, self-sustaining AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, including clusters, namespaces, and deployments.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code and automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK.
- Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
- Configure and manage containerized environments, Docker images, registries, and runtime environments.
- Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and improve alerting, logging, and operational procedures.
- Work independently with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate features and enhancements.
- Implement and maintain compliance and security practices in operational infrastructure.
- Train and mentor junior DevOps engineers and new team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
- At least 4 years of experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, or similar.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, or Rancher.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
- Experience working with containers using Docker or Docker Compose.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or JavaScript.
- Strong hands-on AWS solution-architecting experience and production Kubernetes expertise.
- Experience with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or the ELK stack is required or advantageous based on the technical experience section.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud-native security practices.
- Effective English communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a project team.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator certifications are preferred.
