Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain software applications handling genetic data.
- Create and orchestrate complex data workflows, pipelines, and RESTful/JSON-based APIs.
- Deploy and manage cloud applications for scalability and reliability.
- Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and participate in peer code reviews.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Bioinformatics, and cross-functional teams on system modernization and delivery.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile workflows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and React.
- Experience designing and orchestrating complex data workflows, pipelines, and RESTful/JSON-based APIs.
- Proficiency in full-stack development across front end, back end, and databases.
- Experience writing automated tests and a test-driven development mindset.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare or interest in genetics and bioinformatics is preferred.
- Experience implementing cloud solutions and familiarity with AWS is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with US and EU teams with at least two hours of business-hours overlap.
